Timberden
uses it's two standard models as a benchmark for all
it's adaptations.
THE
GARDEN ROOM and THE ARTIST'S STUDIO.
Both
have an internal floor dimension of 3.0 x 4.5 meters.
They both have a ridge height below 4.0 meters from
the underside of the building which can be a useful
advantage from the Planning permission point of view.
For further detail see 'Planning Permission'.
All TIMBERDENS come with stained timber featheredge
cladding to the outside. Single glazed ( see options)
timber framed windows with a distinctive leaded pattern
and a half glazed door and sidelight.
The
Artist's Studio has as a main design feature a purpose
made timber and glass screen as one of it's gable walls,
allowing extra light for artistic, creative endeavours.
In addition it has an open, apex style, ceiling for
added height, combined with a roof light and one timber
and glass side wall panel for even more light. Of course
if this is too much light, or you think you might feel
exposed, the arrangement of panels and types of panels
used can be to your own requirement.

Adaptable,
Modular construction
Owing to their modular form of construction these buildings
can be adapted for size, and to some extent shape to
form a building that will suit your own particular requirements.
The window, door and porch arrangements can be in any
position or quantity you want.
The structure is very strong, being formed mainly of
100 x 50mm tanalised sawn softwood timber with wind
bracing built into the walls.
Insulation
The walls floor and roof panels are insulated with 100mm
solid block polystyrene and the internal surfaces lined
with foil-backed plasterboard. - see construction photos.
This versatility combined with high quality construction
detail and capability allows you to have a comfortable,
useful and attractive place to engage your work or interests
within your garden and surroundings.
A
place of privacy
Running a business from home can be awkward when it
conflicts with general home life. It can be very invasive,
phones and faxes ringing etc. Moving to another 'place'
whilst still at home can be the answer, but it doesn't
have to be about work. The potential uses for these
buildings are - within reason - virtually limitless.
